About the role

NexGen Media is expanding its digital platform and needs a focused REST API Developer to design and implement robust endpoints for a new content delivery service. You will work closely with product owners to translate requirements into clean, scalable code.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and document RESTful APIs using NodeJS
• Integrate APIs with PostgreSQL databases and ensure data integrity
• Write unit and integration tests to guarantee reliability
• Collaborate with front‑end teams to define API contracts
• Optimize performance and troubleshoot production issues

Must-have skills

• Strong experience building REST APIs with NodeJS
• Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+)
• Hands‑on knowledge of PostgreSQL and SQL queries
• Understanding of authentication/authorization mechanisms

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Docker or containerization
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of API documentation tools like Swagger
