About the role

We are launching a greenfield SaaS product and need a focused REST API Developer to shape the backend from day one. You will work with a remote‑first, collaborative team to deliver secure, high‑performance services that power our core offering.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement clean RESTful endpoints using NodeJS
• Define data models and queries in PostgreSQL, ensuring scalability
• Write unit and integration tests to guarantee reliability
• Collaborate with product and front‑end engineers on API contracts
• Document API specifications and usage guidelines

Must-have skills

• Proven experience building REST APIs with NodeJS
• Strong JavaScript fundamentals and async patterns
• Hands‑on PostgreSQL design and query optimization
• Understanding of authentication, rate limiting, and error handling

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Docker or containerised deployments
• Experience in CI/CD pipelines for NodeJS services
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
