About the role

BlueSky Ventures is preparing an upcoming app store release that requires tight mobile and backend alignment. We need a focused REST API Developer to design and implement the server side that powers the mobile experience.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build scalable RESTful endpoints for mobile consumption
• Collaborate with mobile engineers to define data contracts and error handling
• Optimize database queries in PostgreSQL for low‑latency responses
• Implement authentication, rate‑limiting, and versioning strategies
• Write clear documentation and automated tests for each API

Must-have skills

• Proven experience building production‑grade REST APIs
• Strong NodeJS and JavaScript proficiency
• Deep understanding of PostgreSQL performance tuning
• Familiarity with OAuth/JWT security flows

Nice to have

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for rapid deployments
• Knowledge of mobile app lifecycle and push notification services
