REST API Developer Needed for End-to-End Third-Party Integrations

About the role

We are launching a brand‑new SaaS product and need a focused REST API Developer to design and implement the core backend services. You will work with a remote‑first team, shaping the API layer from scratch while ensuring scalability and security.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and document RESTful endpoints for core product features
• Implement data models and queries using PostgreSQL
• Write clean, testable NodeJS code and integrate with CI pipelines
• Collaborate with product and front‑end engineers to define contracts
• Monitor performance and troubleshoot production issues

Must-have skills

• Strong experience building REST APIs with NodeJS
• Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+)
• Hands‑on knowledge of PostgreSQL schema design and queries
• Understanding of authentication, rate‑limiting, and API versioning

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Docker or container orchestration
• Experience in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Knowledge of automated testing frameworks for APIs
