Senior GraphQL API Developer – API Design

About the role

BrightMart Solutions is revamping its customer‑facing services to boost performance and reliability. We need a GraphQL API Developer to redesign core endpoints, optimize data fetching, and ensure seamless integration with existing front‑end layers.

Key responsibilities

• Refactor and benchmark current GraphQL resolvers for speed and stability
• Design schema enhancements that reduce over‑fetching and improve caching
• Collaborate with React front‑end engineers to align data contracts
• Implement monitoring and alerting for API latency and error rates
• Write comprehensive unit and integration tests for new and legacy queries

Must-have skills

• Proven experience building high‑performance GraphQL services
• Strong command of NodeJS and async patterns
• Deep understanding of REST API principles and migration strategies
• Ability to troubleshoot bottlenecks and apply caching strategies

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Apollo Server or similar GraphQL frameworks
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for automated testing
• Knowledge of cloud monitoring tools (e.g., New Relic, Datadog)
