About the role

BlueSky Ventures is launching a security hardening initiative for its cloud‑hosted applications. We need a GraphQL API Developer to design, implement, and tighten the API layer against emerging threats while keeping performance optimal.

Key responsibilities

• Audit existing GraphQL schemas for security gaps and apply best‑practice hardening
• Implement authentication and authorization flows using JWT, OAuth2, and role‑based access
• Integrate rate‑limiting, input validation, and logging mechanisms
• Collaborate with DevOps to enforce secure CI/CD pipelines for API deployments
• Write comprehensive tests and documentation for all security enhancements

Must-have skills

• Deep experience building production‑grade GraphQL APIs
• Strong knowledge of security standards (OWASP, JWT, OAuth2)
• Proficiency with NodeJS and modern JavaScript frameworks
• Hands‑on with REST API integration and migration patterns

Nice to have

• Experience securing cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Familiarity with React front‑end consumption of GraphQL
• Background in automated security testing tools
