About the role

AlphaEdge Tech is launching a critical product and needs a Microservices Architect to lead a test automation uplift. The goal is to reduce regression risk before launch by designing resilient, observable microservice pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Design and refactor microservice boundaries to support automated end‑to‑end tests
• Integrate Docker and Kubernetes workflows with CI/CD tools for reliable test execution
• Define contract‑first APIs and mock services for early test coverage
• Collaborate with QA leads to embed testing hooks and reporting dashboards
• Mentor developers on best practices for testable microservice design

Must-have skills

• Deep experience architecting Java‑based microservices
• Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration
• Strong understanding of test automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines
• Ability to translate business risk into technical safeguards

Nice to have

• Experience with contract testing tools such as Pact
• Familiarity with performance testing in cloud environments
• Knowledge of observability platforms (Prometheus, Grafana)
