About the role

Ridgeline Software is modernizing a legacy production platform that must stay online 24/7. We need a MongoDB Specialist to design zero‑downtime migration patterns, refactor data access layers, and ensure high‑availability configurations.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and implement seamless data migrations with no service interruption
• Optimize existing MongoDB schemas for performance and scalability
• Set up replica sets, sharding, and backup strategies aligned with uptime goals
• Collaborate with backend engineers to refactor queries and indexes
• Monitor cluster health and resolve performance bottlenecks proactively

Must-have skills

• Deep experience with MongoDB deployment, tuning, and troubleshooting
• Proficiency in JavaScript, NodeJS, and related ecosystem
• Understanding of zero‑downtime deployment techniques
• Strong problem‑solving skills in distributed systems

Nice to have

• Familiarity with container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes)
• Experience in CI/CD pipelines for database changes
• Knowledge of cloud‑native MongoDB services
