About the role

Silverline Labs is launching a greenfield SaaS product and needs a MongoDB Specialist to design and implement the data layer from scratch. You will work with a remote-first team to ensure the database supports rapid feature delivery and scales with user growth.

Key responsibilities

• Design schema and data models for a new multi‑tenant application
• Implement efficient queries, indexes, and aggregation pipelines
• Set up automated backups, monitoring, and alerting
• Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate MongoDB with Node.js services
• Document data architecture and best practices for the team

Must-have skills

• 3+ years of hands‑on MongoDB development and administration
• Strong understanding of data modeling, indexing, and performance tuning
• Experience with sharding, replication, and cloud‑hosted MongoDB (Atlas or similar)
• Proficiency in JavaScript/Node.js for query integration
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for database migrations

Nice to have

• Knowledge of GraphQL or REST API design
• Experience with Docker containers for local development
• Exposure to other NoSQL or relational databases
