About the role

AlphaEdge Tech is seeking a senior Penetration Tester to assess the security posture of a new SaaS platform. The engagement focuses on comprehensive external and internal testing, vulnerability validation, and delivering actionable remediation guidance within a tight timeline.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct black‑box and white‑box penetration tests against web applications, APIs, and network infrastructure.
• Identify, exploit, and document vulnerabilities according to industry standards (OWASP, PTES).
• Produce detailed technical reports with risk ratings and remediation recommendations.
• Collaborate with development and ops teams to verify fixes and retest as needed.
• Maintain testing tools, scripts, and methodologies to ensure up‑to‑date coverage.
• Provide concise executive summaries for stakeholder review.

Must-have skills

• 10+ years of hands‑on penetration testing experience.
• Deep knowledge of web application security, network protocols, and exploitation techniques.
• Proficiency with tools such as Burp Suite, Metasploit, Nmap, and custom scripting.
• Strong reporting skills and ability to translate technical findings for non‑technical audiences.
• Relevant certifications (OSCP, OSCE, GPEN) preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure) security assessments.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps integration and CI/CD pipeline testing.
