About the role

AlphaEdge Tech is undertaking a performance and reliability overhaul of its customer‑facing services. We need a focused REST API Developer to redesign critical endpoints, improve latency, and ensure robust error handling across our platform.

Key responsibilities

• Audit existing APIs for bottlenecks and security gaps
• Refactor and optimize NodeJS services for high throughput
• Implement caching strategies and rate limiting
• Write comprehensive unit and integration tests
• Collaborate with QA and DevOps to monitor performance metrics

Must-have skills

• Strong experience building RESTful APIs with NodeJS
• Deep knowledge of JavaScript best practices
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL schema design and query tuning
• Understanding of performance profiling and monitoring tools

Nice to have

• Familiarity with containerization (Docker)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Background in distributed systems architecture
