Senior REST API Developer Needed for SaaS Integration

About the role

We are modernizing a legacy production platform that must stay online 24/7. The REST API Developer will design and implement new API services while ensuring zero‑downtime migration. You will work closely with architects and DevOps to refactor critical pathways.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and document high‑performance REST endpoints in NodeJS
• Integrate with existing PostgreSQL schemas and migrate data safely
• Implement automated tests and CI pipelines for continuous delivery
• Collaborate on zero‑downtime deployment strategies and rollback plans
• Monitor performance and optimize latency in production

Must-have skills

• Proven experience building REST APIs with NodeJS
• Strong JavaScript fundamentals and async patterns
• Hands‑on work with PostgreSQL, schema design and migrations
• Understanding of zero‑downtime deployment techniques

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Docker or Kubernetes
• Experience in legacy system refactoring
• Knowledge of API security best practices (OAuth, JWT)
