Terraform Engineer Needed for Observability Stack Setup

About the role

Vertex Analytics is modernizing a legacy production platform that must stay online 24/7. We need a Terraform Engineer to design and implement infrastructure-as-code that enables zero‑downtime deployments and smooth scaling.

Key responsibilities

• Translate existing manual provisioning into reusable Terraform modules.
• Implement state management and workspaces for multi‑environment isolation.
• Integrate Terraform pipelines with CI/CD to automate plan, apply, and validation steps.
• Collaborate with platform engineers to ensure networking, security, and monitoring are codified.
• Conduct peer reviews and provide documentation for hand‑off.

Must-have skills

• Strong experience writing production‑grade Terraform code.
• Deep knowledge of AWS services (VPC, EC2, RDS, IAM).
• Solid understanding of DevOps principles and CI/CD workflows.
• Ability to troubleshoot state drift and ensure idempotent deployments.

Nice to have

• Experience with Terraform Cloud or Enterprise.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like CloudWatch or Prometheus.
• Background in zero‑downtime migration strategies.
