About the role

NovaForge Tech is launching a greenfield SaaS platform that will power next‑gen workflow automation. As a Backend Developer you will build the core services for the new "Nimbus Core" module, shaping the product from day one in a remote‑first environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement RESTful micro‑services in Node.js using Express and TypeScript.
• Set up PostgreSQL schemas, write performant queries, and integrate with Prisma ORM.
• Create CI pipelines in GitHub Actions for automated testing, linting, and container builds.
• Collaborate with the frontend squad to define API contracts and deliver versioned OpenAPI specs.
• Instrument services with Prometheus metrics and Grafana dashboards for real‑time monitoring.
• Deliver a production‑ready MVP of Nimbus Core within six weeks, including load testing and security hardening.

Must-have skills

• NodeJS with strong TypeScript proficiency.
• Deep experience building REST APIs and micro‑service architectures.
• PostgreSQL schema design, query optimization, and ORM usage.
• Familiarity with Docker, GitHub Actions, and cloud‑native deployment.
• Understanding of security best practices for API development.

Nice to have

• Experience with GraphQL or gRPC.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes orchestration.
