Key Responsibilities
- Enter data into Excel spreadsheets with high accuracy and attention to detail, following established protocols and guidelines.
- Maintain and update databases to ensure data integrity and completeness, performing regular backups and audits as needed.
- Generate reports and summaries to support business decision-making, using pivot tables, charts, and other data visualization tools.
- Collaborate with team members to identify and resolve data discrepancies, providing recommendations for process improvements.
- Develop and implement data entry workflows and procedures to optimize efficiency and productivity.
- Conduct regular data quality checks to ensure accuracy and completeness, making corrections as necessary.
- Provide training and support to new team members on data entry procedures and best practices.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments in data management, recommending new tools and technologies to enhance our services.
- Participate in team meetings and contributes to the development of the company's data management strategy.
- Perform other related duties as required, including data cleaning, data migration, and data archiving.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection policies, ensuring the security and integrity of sensitive information.
- Meet productivity and quality standards, consistently delivering high-quality work products on time.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in data entry, preferably in a business or administrative setting.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data manipulation, formula creation, and data visualization.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve data discrepancies.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with team members and provide training and support.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
- Strong understanding of data management principles and practices, including data quality, data security, and data backup procedures.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques, including pivot tables, charts, and graphs.
- High school diploma or equivalent required, post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
- Certification in data management or a related field an asset, such as Certified Data Entry Specialist (CDES) or Certified Administrative Professional (CAP).
