About the role

Cascade Apps is launching a greenfield SaaS product and needs a Docker Kubernetes Specialist to design the container orchestration foundation. You will work with a remote‑first team, shaping CI/CD pipelines, scaling strategies, and security hardening for a brand‑new service.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and implement Kubernetes clusters on the chosen cloud provider.
• Create reusable Docker images and helm charts for micro‑services.
• Set up automated deployment pipelines and observability tooling.
• Collaborate with developers to embed best‑practice container workflows.
• Document cluster topology, scaling policies, and disaster‑recovery plans.

Must-have skills

• Proven experience deploying Docker containers at scale.
• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes concepts, networking, and security.
• Hands‑on with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar).
• Strong troubleshooting skills in cloud environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with service mesh (Istio, Linkerd).
• Familiarity with Terraform or other IaC tools.
• Background in monitoring stacks like Prometheus/Grafana.
