About the role

We are seeking a Python Backend Developer to join our team for a short‑term project focused on building a robust data processing service. The role involves designing, implementing, and testing backend components that integrate with existing systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop RESTful APIs using Python frameworks.
• Implement data models and queries with PostgreSQL.
• Create Docker containers for consistent deployment.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
• Collaborate with front‑end engineers to define API contracts.
• Monitor performance and optimize queries for scalability.

Must-have skills

• Strong proficiency in Python (3.x) for backend development.
• Experience with PostgreSQL database design and optimization.
• Solid understanding of REST API principles and implementation.
• Hands‑on experience with Docker and containerization.
• Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of asynchronous programming (e.g., asyncio).
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing tools.
