About the role

Cascade Apps is building a brand‑new SaaS platform to streamline workflow automation for remote teams. As a Python Backend Developer you will shape the core services of this greenfield product, laying the foundation for a high‑performance, scalable API layer.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement a micro‑service named "PulseSync" to handle real‑time data ingestion using FastAPI.
• Set up PostgreSQL schemas, write migration scripts, and tune queries for sub‑second response times.
• Containerize all services with Docker, create CI pipelines in GitHub Actions, and ensure automated testing passes before each release.
• Integrate third‑party OAuth providers and build token‑based authentication flows.
• Write comprehensive OpenAPI specs and generate client SDKs for internal front‑end consumption.
• Collaborate with the DevOps lead to configure Kubernetes manifests for staging deployments.

Must-have skills

• Proficiency in Python 3.9+ and FastAPI.
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL, including performance tuning.
• Hands‑on Docker knowledge and container orchestration basics.
• Designing and documenting RESTful APIs with OpenAPI.
• Version control with Git and CI/CD workflow setup.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with async programming (asyncio, aiohttp).
• Exposure to Kubernetes or Helm charts.
