About the role

Cascade Apps is driving a rapid CI/CD and platform automation sprint to accelerate release cycles. As a QA Automation Engineer you will build and tighten automated test pipelines for our new "Velocity Hub" release framework, ensuring quality at speed.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement end‑to‑end Selenium test suites for the Velocity Hub micro‑services using JavaScript.
• Integrate automated tests into Jenkins pipelines, configuring parallel execution to cut feedback time by 40%.
• Develop custom Groovy scripts for dynamic environment provisioning in Docker containers.
• Collaborate with DevOps to embed test results into GitLab merge‑request approvals.
• Maintain test data management using PostgreSQL fixtures and mock APIs.
• Track flaky tests, introduce retry logic, and document stability metrics weekly.

Must-have skills

• 3+ years of test automation experience with Selenium and JavaScript.
• Proficiency in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI) and pipeline scripting.
• Strong understanding of API testing and RESTful services.
• Experience with Docker, container orchestration, and test environment setup.
• Solid debugging skills and ability to write clear, maintainable test code.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with performance testing tools such as JMeter.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) for test infrastructure.
