About the role

Harbor Softworks is launching a security hardening initiative for its cloud‑hosted applications. We need an Android Developer to embed advanced security controls directly into the mobile client, ensuring data protection and compliance across the ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate encryption, secure storage, and token‑based authentication into existing Android codebases.
• Perform threat modeling and code reviews focused on mobile attack vectors.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to align API security with mobile implementations.
• Write automated security tests and contribute to CI pipelines for continuous validation.
• Document security patterns and provide knowledge transfer to the internal team.

Must-have skills

• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java for Android.
• Deep understanding of Android security best practices (e.g., ProGuard, SafetyNet, keystore).
• Experience with OWASP Mobile Top 10 and secure networking.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, fast‑paced environment.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, GCP) and IAM integration.
• Previous work on security audits for mobile applications.
