Senior Cybersecurity Engineer Needed for IAM Hardening

About the role

CoreData Systems is seeking a senior Cybersecurity Engineer to strengthen its security operations for a high‑impact, short‑term project. You will lead the design, implementation, and monitoring of SOC processes to detect and respond to threats across the enterprise environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and fine‑tune SIEM rules and dashboards for real‑time threat detection.
• Conduct incident response investigations, root‑cause analysis, and remediation.
• Implement and maintain security monitoring tools across cloud and on‑premise assets.
• Collaborate with network and system teams to enforce security policies and controls.
• Produce detailed incident reports and recommend improvements to security posture.

Must-have skills

• Extensive experience with SOC operations, SIEM platforms, and incident response.
• Strong knowledge of network security, endpoint detection, and threat hunting.
• Proficiency in scripting with Python for automation and analysis.
• Hands‑on experience securing Linux environments and cloud platforms, especially AWS.
• Solid understanding of security frameworks such as NIST and MITRE ATT&CK.

Nice to have

• Certifications like CISSP, GSEC, or AWS Security Specialty.
• Experience with threat intelligence integration and automation tools.
