About the role

BlueSky Ventures is building a real‑time analytics backbone for its operations teams. As a Senior DevOps Engineer you will design, implement, and automate the data pipeline that powers operational insights. You will work on the AeroStream module, enabling seamless data flow from ingestion to analytics dashboards.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and deploy a scalable AWS‑based data pipeline using Step Functions, Kinesis, and S3.
• Containerize ETL micro‑services with Docker and orchestrate them on EKS, ensuring zero‑downtime deployments.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions for automated testing, linting, and promotion to production.
• Write Terraform IaC to provision networking, security groups, and monitoring resources.
• Set up Prometheus‑Grafana monitoring and alerting for pipeline health and latency.
• Collaborate with data engineers to integrate Airflow DAGs and validate data quality at each stage.

Must-have skills

• Advanced AWS services (EKS, Lambda, Kinesis, S3).
• Docker and Kubernetes orchestration.
• Terraform or CloudFormation for IaC.
• CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar).
• Strong scripting in Bash/Python for automation.

Nice to have

• Experience with Apache Airflow or similar workflow managers.
• Knowledge of data lake architectures and analytics platforms.
