About the role

Cascade Apps is building a data pipeline and analytics enablement platform for operations teams. We need a seasoned Java Developer to design, implement, and optimize core services that ingest, transform, and expose operational data in real time.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and develop high‑throughput Java microservices using Spring Boot
• Integrate streaming sources (Kafka, Kinesis) and batch jobs into a unified pipeline
• Implement robust data validation, enrichment, and error‑handling mechanisms
• Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to define schema and performance metrics
• Write unit, integration, and contract tests; ensure CI coverage
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and tune services in a cloud environment

Must-have skills

• 5+ years of Java development experience
• Deep expertise with Spring Boot and microservice architecture
• Proven track record building data‑centric pipelines
• Strong understanding of REST, gRPC, and messaging systems

Nice to have

• Experience with Apache Flink or Spark
• Knowledge of container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
