About the role

TechFlow Inc is launching a security hardening initiative for its cloud‑hosted applications. We need a MongoDB Specialist to audit, tighten, and document our data layer defenses. You will work closely with DevOps and security engineers to ensure our MongoDB clusters meet strict compliance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform security assessments of existing MongoDB deployments across AWS and Azure.
• Implement role‑based access controls, encryption at rest, and network isolation.
• Design and apply audit logging and anomaly detection rules.
• Collaborate with CI/CD pipelines to embed security checks for schema changes.
• Provide clear remediation guidance and knowledge‑transfer sessions for the internal team.

Must-have skills

• 5+ years managing production MongoDB clusters.
• Deep knowledge of MongoDB security features (RBAC, TLS, encryption, auditing).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and IAM integrations.
• Strong scripting ability for automation (Bash, Python).
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Certifications such as MongoDB DBA or AWS Security.
• Familiarity with container orchestration (Kubernetes) and Helm charts.
• Background in compliance frameworks (PCI‑DSS, HIPAA).
