About the role

NexGen Media is launching a security hardening initiative for its cloud‑hosted applications. We need a seasoned Node.js Developer to tighten defenses, audit code, and implement robust controls across our services.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct security reviews of existing Node.js services and identify vulnerabilities.
• Implement authentication, authorization, and input validation best practices.
• Refactor code to use secure coding patterns and eliminate unsafe dependencies.
• Integrate logging, monitoring, and alerting for security events.
• Collaborate with DevOps to enforce infrastructure‑as‑code security policies.

Must-have skills

• 5+ years of Node.js development with a focus on security.
• Deep knowledge of Express, JavaScript, and REST API design.
• Experience securing cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Familiarity with OWASP Top 10 and threat modeling.

Nice to have

• Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or AWS Security Specialty.
• Experience with container security tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of automated security testing (SAST, DAST).
