About the role

Cascade Apps is launching an integration project that ties together billing, CRM, and internal APIs. We need a PostgreSQL Administrator who can design, tune, and secure the database layer while ensuring seamless data flow across services.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement PostgreSQL schemas for billing and CRM data exchange
• Develop ETL pipelines linking PostgreSQL with MongoDB and MySQL back‑ends
• Optimize queries and indexes for high‑throughput API calls
• Set up replication, backups, and disaster‑recovery procedures
• Collaborate with API developers to define data contracts and error handling

Must-have skills

• 5+ years managing PostgreSQL in production environments
• Strong SQL performance tuning and query optimization
• Experience with database migration and version control
• Proficiency in Linux command line and scripting

Nice to have

• Knowledge of containerized database deployments (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus or pgBadger
