AWS Cloud Engineer – Platform Reliability

About the role

Orbit Labs is preparing a critical product launch and needs an AWS Cloud Engineer to boost test automation. The aim is to reduce regression risk by building a resilient, scalable test framework that integrates tightly with our CI pipeline.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement automated test suites on AWS using CodeBuild, CodePipeline, and CloudFormation.
• Containerize test environments with Docker and orchestrate them via ECS or EKS.
• Develop scripts to provision isolated test sandboxes on demand.
• Collaborate with QA and development teams to embed tests early in the release cycle.
• Monitor test execution, capture metrics, and refine flaky test detection.

Must-have skills

• Strong experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudFormation).
• Proficiency in Docker containerization and orchestration.
• Solid DevOps background with CI/CD pipeline automation.
• Linux system administration and scripting expertise.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Python or Bash for test scripting.
• Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Locust).
• Knowledge of security best practices in automated environments.
