About the role

LumenWorks is preparing a major app store launch and needs a Database Administrator to ensure data layers sync perfectly with mobile back‑end services. You will shape schema, optimize queries, and support real‑time data flows that power the new app experience.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain PostgreSQL, MongoDB and MySQL databases for high‑availability mobile services
• Implement replication and backup strategies aligned with app release cycles
• Collaborate with mobile engineers to fine‑tune data models for low‑latency access
• Monitor performance, resolve bottlenecks, and write automation scripts for routine tasks
• Document procedures and provide knowledge transfer to the broader dev team

Must-have skills

• Strong experience administering PostgreSQL, MongoDB and MySQL
• Proficiency in SQL tuning, indexing, and query optimization
• Familiarity with cloud database services and CI/CD pipelines
• Ability to troubleshoot replication and failover scenarios

Nice to have

• Experience with mobile backend frameworks (e.g., Firebase, Amplify)
• Knowledge of containerized database deployments
• Background in data security and encryption best practices
