About the role
DataPro Services is launching a security hardening initiative for its suite of cloud‑hosted Java applications. As a Java Developer you will focus on fortifying the new "SecureCloud Guard" module, ensuring compliance and resilience against emerging threats. The project runs for under three months and requires hands‑on expertise in secure coding and cloud environments.
Key responsibilities
- Implement OWASP‑compliant security controls in the SecureCloud Guard microservice using Spring Boot.
- Integrate automated static analysis (SonarQube) and dependency scanning into the CI pipeline.
- Refactor existing REST endpoints to enforce JWT‑based authentication and role‑based access.
- Conduct threat modeling sessions and produce mitigation tickets in JIRA.
- Collaborate with DevOps to configure AWS IAM policies and VPC security groups.
- Deliver a final security audit report with remediation recommendations by project end.
Must-have skills
- Strong Java development experience (Java 11+).
- Proficiency with Spring Boot, REST API design, and MySQL.
- Hands‑on knowledge of security best practices (OWASP, JWT, IAM).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
- Ability to write clean, testable code and unit tests (JUnit).

- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
