Key Responsibilities

• Translate documents, websites, and other materials from one language to another, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and cultural relevance.
• Collaborate with the translation team to review and refine translations, maintaining consistency and quality across projects.
• Utilize translation software and tools to manage projects efficiently and effectively.
• Conduct research to stay updated on language trends, terminology, and cultural nuances, applying this knowledge to improve translation services.
• Meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work under pressure, prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently.
• Communicate with clients and internal teams to understand project requirements, provide updates, and address queries or concerns.
• Participate in quality assurance processes to evaluate and improve translation quality and efficiency.
• Develop and maintain style guides, glossaries, and other linguistic resources to support consistency in translation projects.
• Analyze project requirements and recommend the best translation solutions, considering factors such as budget, timeline, and client preferences.
• Collaborate with other departments to integrate translation services into the company's broader goals and strategies.
• Stay abreast of industry developments, best practices, and new technologies in translation and language services.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our translation processes and standards.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions on project planning, workflow optimization, and quality improvement.
• Provide training and support to junior translators or new team members as needed.

Requirements

• Native or near-native fluency in at least two languages, with English being one of them.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in translation or a related field, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality translations.
• Strong understanding of linguistic and cultural nuances, with the ability to adapt translations to different contexts and audiences.
• Proficiency in translation software and tools, such as CAT tools, terminology management software, and quality assurance platforms.
• Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Familiarity with style guides, such as AP or Chicago, and experience with creating and maintaining linguistic resources.
• Basic knowledge of HTML and experience with content management systems is a plus.
• Certificate in translation or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
