Node.js Developer for Legacy System Migration

About the role

AlphaEdge Tech is expanding its micro‑services platform and needs a Node.js developer to design, implement, and optimize RESTful services. You will work closely with product owners and front‑end engineers to deliver high‑quality backend functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Develop scalable APIs using Node.js and Express
• Integrate with third‑party services and databases
• Write clean, maintainable JavaScript code with unit tests
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions
• Monitor performance and troubleshoot production issues

Must-have skills

• Strong experience with Node.js and Express framework
• Proficient in JavaScript (ES6+)
• Hands‑on building and consuming REST APIs
• Understanding of asynchronous programming and error handling

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Docker or containerization
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
