About the role

Northbay Systems is preparing a new app store launch that requires tight mobile and backend coordination. We need a Node.js Developer to craft the server side that powers the upcoming mobile experience, ensuring fast, reliable APIs for iOS and Android clients.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement RESTful services that sync mobile data in real time
• Integrate with third‑party authentication and analytics providers
• Optimize API performance and scalability for high‑traffic release periods
• Collaborate with mobile engineers to align data contracts and error handling
• Write unit and integration tests and maintain CI pipelines

Must-have skills

• Strong Node.js experience building production APIs
• Proficiency with Express framework
• Deep knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+)
• Hands‑on with REST API design and security best practices

Nice to have

• Experience with mobile backend services (e.g., Firebase, AWS Amplify)
• Familiarity with Docker or container orchestration
• Understanding of CI/CD for Node.js projects
