About the role

Vertex Analytics is enhancing its release pipeline by adding robust test automation to cut regression risk. We need a PHP Developer to design, implement, and integrate automated tests that run before each launch, ensuring new code stays stable.

Key responsibilities

• Build end‑to‑end test suites for existing PHP services using Laravel testing tools
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and trigger them on pull‑request and pre‑release stages
• Identify flaky tests, refactor them, and improve overall test coverage
• Collaborate with QA and product teams to define critical regression scenarios
• Document test cases and maintain clear test reports for stakeholders

Must-have skills

• Strong PHP experience (3+ years) with Laravel framework
• Proficiency in writing unit, integration, and functional tests
• Hands‑on MySQL knowledge for data‑driven test scenarios
• Familiarity with CI tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar)

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker or containerized test environments
• Knowledge of API testing tools like Postman or Insomnia
• Background in performance or load testing for PHP applications
