About the role

Ridgeline Software is launching a security hardening initiative for its cloud‑hosted applications. We need an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and validate security controls across our AWS environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assess current AWS architecture for compliance gaps and recommend remediation.
• Implement IAM policies, security groups, and network ACLs following least‑privilege principles.
• Configure AWS Config, GuardDuty, and Security Hub for continuous monitoring.
• Automate hardening scripts using CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Conduct vulnerability scans and provide detailed remediation reports.

Must-have skills

• 5+ years managing AWS infrastructure at scale.
• Deep knowledge of AWS security services (IAM, KMS, GuardDuty, Security Hub).
• Proficiency with Docker containers and Linux system administration.
• Hands‑on experience in CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.

Nice to have

• Certifications such as AWS Security Specialty or DevOps Engineer.
• Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation for infrastructure as code.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks (PCI‑DSS, ISO 27001).
