About the role
BlueSky Ventures is launching a performance and reliability overhaul of its customer‑facing services. We need a DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and fine‑tune the underlying infrastructure, ensuring high availability and fast response times.
Key responsibilities
- Audit existing CI/CD pipelines and refactor for speed and resilience
- Containerize legacy components using Docker and orchestrate with Kubernetes
- Implement automated scaling policies on AWS to handle traffic spikes
- Set up comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting for all services
- Collaborate with development squads to embed reliability best practices
Must-have skills
- 5+ years in DevOps or site reliability engineering
- Deep experience with AWS services (EC2, ECS/EKS, RDS)
- Proficient in Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tooling
- Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, or Go)
- Track record of improving system performance and uptime
Nice to have
- Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation
- Knowledge of service mesh technologies
- Familiarity with chaos engineering practices
