About the role

Harbor Softworks is launching a security hardening initiative for its cloud‑hosted applications. We need a Docker Kubernetes Specialist to design, implement, and validate hardened container orchestration environments that meet strict compliance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Audit existing Kubernetes clusters for security gaps and apply hardening best practices.
• Implement network policies, pod security standards, and role‑based access controls.
• Automate image scanning, vulnerability remediation, and secure CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with developers to embed security checks into Docker build processes.
• Document hardening procedures and provide knowledge transfer to internal teams.

Must-have skills

• Deep experience securing Docker containers and Kubernetes clusters.
• Proficiency with tools such as Falco, OPA, Trivy, or similar.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and IAM.
• Hands‑on scripting ability (Bash, Python) for automation.

Nice to have

• Certifications like CKA, CKAD, or CIS Docker.
• Experience with service mesh security (e.g., Istio).
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as PCI‑DSS or SOC‑2.
