About the role

Orbit Labs is launching a critical product and needs a Docker Kubernetes Specialist to lead a test automation uplift. The goal is to reduce regression risk before launch by building robust CI pipelines and containerized test suites.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement Docker‑based test environments for automated regression suites.
• Configure Kubernetes clusters to run scalable, parallel test jobs.
• Integrate test automation into existing CI/CD workflows using GitOps principles.
• Collaborate with QA and development teams to define test coverage metrics.
• Document best practices and create reusable Helm charts for test deployments.

Must-have skills

• 5+ years of hands‑on Docker and Kubernetes experience.
• Proven track record of building test automation frameworks in a CI/CD context.
• Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, or Go) for pipeline orchestration.
• Understanding of container security and resource optimization.

Nice to have

• Experience with Helm, Argo CD, or Tekton.
• Background in performance testing or load simulation.
• Familiarity with cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) and managed Kubernetes services.
