Senior GraphQL API Developer for Webhook Integration Upgrade

About the role

Orbit Labs is revamping the performance and reliability of its customer‑facing services. We need a GraphQL API Developer to redesign core data pipelines, tighten latency, and ensure fault‑tolerant operations across multiple regions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement high‑throughput GraphQL schemas that replace legacy REST endpoints
• Optimize resolver logic for sub‑millisecond response times
• Introduce caching layers (Redis, CDN) and rate‑limiting to protect services
• Write automated load‑testing scripts and monitor key performance metrics
• Collaborate with frontend teams to align data contracts and error handling

Must-have skills

• 5+ years building production GraphQL APIs
• Strong NodeJS expertise and event‑driven architecture experience
• Deep understanding of REST API integration and migration patterns
• Proficiency with performance profiling tools and CI/CD pipelines

Nice to have

• Experience with Apollo Federation or similar schema stitching
• Familiarity with Kubernetes deployments and service mesh observability
