About the role
NexGen Media is launching a greenfield SaaS product for a remote‑first team. We need a Java Developer to shape the core backend, design APIs, and ensure the service scales from day one. You will work closely with product, UI/UX, and DevOps engineers in an agile, collaborative environment.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement microservice architecture using Java and Spring Boot
- Develop RESTful APIs and integrate with third‑party services
- Write unit, integration, and contract tests to guarantee reliability
- Collaborate on CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployment strategies
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and sprint planning
Must-have skills
- Strong Java development experience (3+ years)
- Proficiency with Spring Boot and microservice patterns
- Understanding of REST, JSON, and API security best practices
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, and cloud environments
Nice to have
- Experience with Docker or Kubernetes
- Knowledge of relational databases and JPA/Hibernate
- Exposure to monitoring tools like Prometheus or Grafana
