Senior Microservices Architect – API Design

About the role

TechFlow Inc is designing a scalable microservices platform for real‑time data processing. We seek a Microservices Architect to define service boundaries, communication patterns, and deployment strategies for a critical new module.

Key responsibilities

• Design and document microservice architecture aligned with business goals
• Define API contracts, data models, and event‑driven workflows
• Guide containerization using Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes
• Establish CI/CD pipelines and best practices for scalability and resilience
• Collaborate with developers, QA, and ops to ensure smooth integration

Must-have skills

• Deep experience designing microservices in Java
• Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes in production
• Strong understanding of REST, gRPC, and messaging systems
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions

Nice to have

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana)
• Knowledge of security best practices for distributed systems
