Senior Microservices Architect Needed for High-Volume Platform Modernization

About the role

CoreData Systems is launching a greenfield SaaS product for a remote‑first team. We need a Microservices Architect to design a scalable, cloud‑native backbone that will serve as the core of the platform. You will shape the architecture, define service boundaries, and ensure the system can evolve rapidly.

Key responsibilities

• Design and document a microservices architecture aligned with business goals
• Select and configure container orchestration, networking, and service mesh patterns
• Define API contracts, data consistency strategies, and fault‑tolerance mechanisms
• Guide the team on best practices for CI/CD, monitoring, and security
• Collaborate with product owners to translate requirements into technical deliverables

Must-have skills

• Deep experience designing microservices at scale
• Proficient with Docker and Kubernetes for deployment and orchestration
• Strong Java development background
• Understanding of event‑driven architecture and API design

Nice to have

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana)
• Knowledge of domain‑driven design
