Senior Microservices Architect Needed for Microservices Architecture Rollout

About the role

DataPro Services is launching a greenfield SaaS product with a fully remote‑first team. We need a Microservices Architect to design the core service mesh, define deployment patterns, and ensure the platform scales from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Define the overall microservice topology and communication contracts for the new product.
• Design, prototype, and document API gateways, service discovery, and resilience strategies.
• Establish CI/CD pipelines using Docker and Kubernetes best practices.
• Guide the team on domain‑driven design, event‑driven architecture, and data consistency.
• Perform security reviews and implement zero‑trust networking within the mesh.

Must-have skills

• Deep experience architecting Java‑based microservice ecosystems.
• Proficiency with Docker containerization and Kubernetes orchestration.
• Strong understanding of API design, gRPC/REST, and service mesh technologies.
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Istio or Linkerd service meshes.
• Experience with cloud‑native monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana).
• Background in event streaming platforms such as Kafka.
