About the role

We are gearing up for a major app store launch and need a MongoDB Specialist to ensure our mobile and backend data layers are perfectly aligned. You will work closely with the mobile team to shape data models that support fast, reliable sync across iOS and Android clients.

Key responsibilities

• Design and optimize MongoDB schemas for mobile‑first workloads
• Implement data validation and indexing strategies for low‑latency queries
• Collaborate with backend engineers to build efficient aggregation pipelines
• Set up change streams and triggers to keep mobile caches up‑to‑date
• Monitor performance and fine‑tune sharding for scalability

Must-have skills

• 5+ years hands‑on MongoDB design and administration
• Deep understanding of data modeling for offline‑first mobile apps
• Experience with Node.js services and RESTful APIs
• Proficiency in performance monitoring and query optimization

Nice to have

• Familiarity with GraphQL gateways
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for database migrations
• Experience with cloud‑hosted MongoDB (Atlas)
