About the role

BrightMart Solutions is modernizing a legacy production platform with a zero‑downtime mandate. We need a MongoDB Specialist to redesign data pipelines, optimize sharding, and ensure seamless migration while keeping the service live.

Key responsibilities

• Audit existing MongoDB schemas and index usage for performance gaps
• Design and implement zero‑downtime migration scripts and automated rollbacks
• Configure replica sets, sharding, and backup strategies aligned with uptime goals
• Collaborate with backend engineers to refactor data access layers
• Develop monitoring dashboards and alerting for real‑time health checks

Must-have skills

• Deep experience with MongoDB deployment, scaling, and troubleshooting
• Proficiency in JavaScript/NodeJS for data migration tooling
• Understanding of distributed systems and zero‑downtime deployment patterns
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently

Nice to have

• Familiarity with container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes)
• Experience in CI/CD pipelines for database changes
• Knowledge of cloud‑native MongoDB services (Atlas, Cosmos DB)
