Senior Node.js Developer Needed for Service Layer Rewrite

About the role

Orbit Labs is launching a security hardening initiative for its cloud‑hosted applications. We need a Node.js Developer to reinforce our services, eliminate vulnerabilities, and embed best‑in‑class security practices.

Key responsibilities

• Audit existing Node.js services for security gaps and implement remediation.
• Integrate authentication, authorization, and input validation mechanisms.
• Enhance logging, monitoring, and incident‑response hooks.
• Collaborate with DevOps to enforce secure CI/CD pipelines.
• Document security patterns and provide knowledge transfer to the team.

Must-have skills

• 5+ years building production‑grade Node.js applications.
• Deep understanding of OWASP Top 10 and cloud security fundamentals.
• Proficiency with Express, JWT, OAuth2, and secure API design.
• Experience with automated testing and static analysis tools.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AWS security services (IAM, KMS, GuardDuty).
• Knowledge of container security (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Previous work on security hardening projects for SaaS platforms.
