About the role

Summit Digital is launching a security hardening initiative for its cloud‑hosted applications. We need a PHP Developer to strengthen code, enforce best practices, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Audit existing PHP codebases for security vulnerabilities
• Implement input validation, output escaping, and authentication hardening
• Integrate security libraries and configure secure server settings
• Write automated tests to verify remediation
• Document findings and provide remediation guidelines for the team

Must-have skills

• Strong PHP development experience (3+ years)
• Proficiency with Laravel framework
• Solid MySQL knowledge and query optimization
• Understanding of OWASP Top 10 and secure coding practices

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated security testing
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration
