About the role

Vertex Analytics is launching a security hardening initiative for its suite of cloud‑hosted applications. We need a seasoned PHP Developer to audit, reinforce, and future‑proof our codebase against emerging threats.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive security reviews of existing PHP/Laravel services
• Implement input validation, output sanitization, and secure authentication flows
• Integrate security headers, CSP, and rate‑limiting mechanisms
• Collaborate with DevOps to enforce secure CI/CD pipelines
• Document findings and provide remediation guidelines for the team

Must-have skills

• 5+ years of PHP development, strong Laravel experience
• Deep understanding of OWASP Top 10 and cloud security best practices
• Proficiency with MySQL schema hardening and query optimization
• Experience securing RESTful APIs and JWT implementations

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes security contexts
• Knowledge of automated security testing tools (e.g., Snyk, ZAP)
