About the role
Harbor Softworks is building a robust test automation uplift to cut regression risk before each product launch. As a Terraform Infrastructure Engineer you will design, implement, and optimize the IaC pipelines that power the new TestGuard Module, ensuring repeatable, secure environments for automated test suites.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Terraform codebases for multi‑account AWS environments supporting nightly test clusters.
- Integrate Terraform plans with GitHub Actions to provision isolated test sandboxes on demand.
- Collaborate with QA leads to embed Terraform‑driven infrastructure into the CI/CD pipeline, reducing manual provisioning time by 70%.
- Implement Sentinel policies and AWS Config rules to enforce security and compliance during test environment spin‑up.
- Document module architecture and create reusable Terraform modules for future test automation projects.
- Monitor cost and performance metrics, optimizing resource allocation for high‑volume regression runs.
Must-have skills
- 5+ years of Terraform design and production deployment.
- Deep experience with AWS services (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS).
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
- Strong scripting skills in Bash or Python for automation tasks.
- Understanding of test automation frameworks and their infrastructure needs.
Nice to have
- Experience with Terragrunt or Terraform Cloud.
- Familiarity with container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) for test environments.
