About the role

NovaForge Tech is preparing an app store launch that tightly couples mobile UI with backend services. We need an Android Developer to shape the client side, ensure data sync, and polish the user experience for a seamless release.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement Kotlin‑based Android modules that consume RESTful APIs
• Collaborate with backend engineers to define contract interfaces and error handling
• Optimize app performance, memory usage, and battery impact for a broad device range
• Write unit and UI tests using JUnit and Espresso to guarantee release quality
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to CI pipelines for fast iteration

Must-have skills

• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java for Android development
• Experience integrating with backend services (JSON, Retrofit, GraphQL)
• Solid understanding of Android architecture components (ViewModel, LiveData, Room)
• Ability to work independently in a remote, project‑based setting

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Jetpack Compose
• Experience with Firebase or other cloud back‑ends
• Knowledge of app store submission guidelines
