About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Translator to join our team at Linguaflex Inc. As a bilingual expert in Spanish and English, you will play a crucial role in helping us to expand our reach to a broader audience. In this role, you will be responsible for translating a variety of content from Spanish to English and vice versa, including documents, articles, and websites. You will work closely with our team of editors and proofreaders to ensure that all translations are accurate, consistent, and culturally relevant. Responsibilities
- Translate documents, articles, and websites from Spanish to English and vice versa
- Review and edit translations to ensure accuracy, consistency, and cultural relevance
- Collaborate with editors and proofreaders to ensure high-quality translations
- Conduct research to stay up-to-date with industry trends and terminology
- Meet deadlines and deliver high-quality translations on time
- Develop and maintain a glossary of industry-specific terms
- Participate in quality control activities to ensure consistency and accuracy
- Provide feedback and suggestions for improving translation processes
- Stay up-to-date with new technologies and tools to improve translation efficiency
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Translate audio and video files from Spanish to English and vice versa
- Subtitling and captioning of videos
Requirements
- Native or near-native fluency in Spanish and English
- At least 2 years of experience in translation or a related field
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy
- Excellent research and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Familiarity with translation software and tools
- Strong knowledge of grammar, syntax, and idiomatic expressions in both languages
